Here are the finished images of my future Systems Concept Bus.
With everything finished I can now rest, even though I now have a cold (pretty nasty one).
I'm pleased with the overall outcome of the project although the deadline was a little close.
-Quick note, from tomorrow onwards the BA model Making Exhibition will be opening in bornemouth, and will be for about a week, so if your interested come on and see everybody's impressive work.....

Painting...
Have been Painting...
There was a problem with the blue which took up a few days work.
-Problem
Some kind of grease was dotted all over the body causing the paint to bloom.
-Solution
Gave the whole bus a thin black wash coat, which was sanded back to blue. Then panel wipe the living hell out of the surface. which worked fine, when resprayed this all disappeared.
Below is me masking the bus logo, with scotch tape.

Moulding
Few shot of the bus during the moulding process,
Above -The bus has been sanded and filled for the millionth time. But now has a few layers of mirror wax.
Above -Me Getting my work area ready for moulding, the wire used to cut even clay had broken. Without any replacement I resorted to uneven ones.
Above -This two part silicone mould will have a fibre glass jacket. Each side is made separately. The first thin layer of silicone is for detail. Not shown is the second layer of thickened silicone.
Above -Clay removed ready for second side.
The second side is now finished ready for de moulding and casting tomorrow....

1)Sanding 2)filling 3)Spraying 4)Repeat
The following things have progressed on the bus, a model which I'm becoming inseparable from.
-The massed out former has been coated in body filler and sanded back.
-Formers were made from Chemi-wood of the remaining windows and doors, which were coated in petroleum jelly and forced into filler.
-Which are removed leaving the shape which is sanded back. The front top deck window was particularly tricky, resulting in the front being removed with the disk sander. To be replaced with more filler.
-After 3 to 4 days of this proses a coat of primer had been added. So moulding should begin on Tuesday (damn bank holiday)

Long Time no See
having disappeared for 2 weeks (while working at altered States FX) Here is a long over Due Update.
-Each Window has been marked up and gridded out using a dremmle.
-Then using plugs made from Chemi-wood and Car body filler, the windows were filled to a perfect circle.
-The rest of the bus is now being filled and primed. Also prep has begun for the moulding process.
